Discover how engineers shape the modern world with Study Mind’s Engineering Summer Career Camp in Central London. This immersive programme is designed for students who want to explore the real-life applications of engineering, from designing innovative technologies to tackling global challenges in sustainability and infrastructure.

Your journey begins with an exclusive site visit to Mott MacDonald, one of the UK’s leading engineering and development consultancies. You’ll step inside one of their live projects to see water purification and filtration systems in action and understand how engineers are driving solutions to environmental and humanitarian challenges worldwide.

Back in London, you’ll get hands-on with one of our most exciting projects – building and testing your own self-driving car. Guided by industry mentors, you’ll learn about sensors, automation and control systems before coding and calibrating your model vehicle to navigate a track on its own. It’s a thrilling introduction to robotics and mechanical engineering in motion.

You’ll also visit the UCL Department of Chemical Engineering, where one of the university’s professors will welcome you into their laboratory. Here you’ll gain a unique insight into research at the cutting edge of materials, energy and process engineering. You’ll see real experiments and explore how chemical engineers transform ideas into technologies that impact everyday life.

Throughout the week, you’ll be supported by mentors from top UK universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, UCL and Imperial College London. They’ll share their experiences of studying engineering, guide you through career options across different fields and help you build the confidence to pursue your own path in STEM.

Evenings combine relaxation and discovery, from group dinners and social events to exploring London’s incredible architecture and innovation landmarks. By the end of the week, you’ll have a clearer understanding of where engineering can take you – whether that’s designing infrastructure, programming autonomous systems or creating sustainable technologies for the future.

The Study Mind Engineering Summer Career Camp is your chance to experience engineering in action, meet professionals shaping the future and start your journey towards becoming an innovator yourself.
